Meet our Mixologist Slava Borisov!
Starting his professional bartending career in 2003, Slava has made millions of cocktails with love, passion and attention for small details. During his first 8 years in the industry, Slava not only spent time working at international cocktail bars, but he competed in numerous bartending competitions winning the regional championships in 2005 and 2006. Slava founded the Omsk Bartending School and served as the Chapter President of the Omsk Bartender Association where he mentored the next generation of bartenders.
In 2011, Mr. Borisov decided to take his talents to the United States where he could cultivate his hunger for knowledge and professional growth. Slava polished his professional skills in New York City before settling down in “The Windy City” of Chicago.
In 2013, Slava joined a select team of professionals at one of the few Forbes Five-Star luxury hotels in the city. During his time there, he curated an extensive cocktail library and earned the title of Head Mixologist. Working hard and dreaming big in 2019, Slava became a national finalist in the USBG World Class sponsored by Diageo bartending competition. He was honored to be named one of the TOP 15 Best Bartenders in the United States.
Slava’s professional perspectives and unique recipes have been featured by such prestigious publications as Forbes Magazine, Supper Magazine (UK), MarketWatch, Plate Magazine, Liquor.com, and VinePair. Additionally, Slava has earned certifications by WSET, Ciceron, BarSmarts, CRT, United States Bartenders’ Guild and the International Bartender Association.
When Slava is not creating cocktail genius, he enjoys traveling the world, learning new things, kayaking, gardening and meeting new people!
